Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She was widely credited for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and also children's witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers she has received grants from numerous sources and has been awarded several international and national prizes. She has advised many administrations and agencies across the globe on policies and research relating to child victims by the legal system. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of three divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division, American Psychology-Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
