Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn, an American actress from America. She is best known for her character Skyler White in the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for performing in Preparatory School before moving to Ohio with her family in late 1970s. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a period at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago performing in stage parts for a number of years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in movies and television shows. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she appeared as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue during the 90's, she was given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. She also starred as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood movie and Sully. Gunn was on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the audio drama podcast series of four parts Numbered days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and eventual end resembles the final years in Walter White's personal life.
